This 'Red Candy Stripe' moquette should really be called Smoking! as it was used in the smoking compartments of British Rail Modernisation Plan in the 1950s and 1960s.
It's sister bag with green stripes was used in the non-smoking areas.
The fabric is on both sides, making it a great compact carpet bag. The chunky zip opens to City of Sydney banner lining. This is such a cute bag!
The seat belt style strap is adjustable and can be removed, transforming the bag into a clutch.
