Genuine vintage moquette that was first seen on the British Rail Modernisation Plan in the 1950s and 1960s.
The cool green stripes were used in the non-smoking compartments, the red stripes used in the smoking areas.
The fabric is on both sides, making it a great compact carpet bag. The chunky zip opens to City of Sydney banner lining. This is such a cute bag!
The hand-cut strap can be removed, transforming the bag into a clutch.
